“When we are asked to examine those ideas that are at the core of our existence, it always gets intense.”
Chapter 4, Page 30 –
For years I’ve studied the Scriptures and commentaries on the Scriptures, attempting to understand what many Christians identify as the very core of their Christianity – the Grace-Faith Relationship. For many Christians this is also known as righteousness by faith, but I want to expand that concept, embrace both sides of the equation – both grace and faith, from God’s point of view as well as man’s point of view. I want to use an incident in the narrative of Jesus’ life to illustrate the development of this relationship in the life of one man. Then I want to broaden the application of this concept to our spiritual relationship and our physical relationship with God.
Are you willing to hear me out on this?
I told you at the beginning of this conversation that this would get intense and very personal. When we are asked to examine those ideas that are at the core of our existence, it always gets intense.
