“Whatever activity is symbolized in the Sanctuary, you will find Jesus at the center of that activity.”

Chapter 12, Page 117 –

For now, look at Hebrews 8:1-2: “Now the main point in what has been said is this: we have such a high priest, who has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a minister in the sanctuary and in the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, not man.”

For now, let’s concentrate on Jesus. Whatever is going on in the heavenly sanctuary, whatever activity is symbolized in the Sanctuary, you will find Jesus at the center of that activity. Check out what gifts Jesus is giving from the Sanctuary and you will know what activities Jesus is doing in the Sanctuary. Remember that the enemy of souls wants to negate what Jesus is doing, so Jesus has to constantly reaffirm with us and defend for us our choice to accept His gifts, as well as work with us in our gifts, as part of the Covenant Grace-Faith Relationship (Zechariah 3:1-7). (If you are not certain what these gifts are, review our conversation of Chapter 4.)  Just know that Jesus is at the center of all this activity.

As for the Time of the End significance of the Sanctuary – the end result of the Day of Atonement ritual in the Old Testament sanctuary was the cleansing of the sins of the Children Israel. The end result of the activity of Jesus as High Priest in the Heavenly Sanctuary is the cleansing of the horrid, deadly awfulness of sin from the Saints, the People of God. The symbolism of the Sanctuary guarantees that there will be an end to sin. (I will say more about this in a later conversation in Chapter 13.) I am – and I hope you are – exceedingly glad that a time is coming when there will be no more temptation, no more suffering, no more sin. Jesus will put an end to sin.
