“The man knows that he is forgiven, that his relationship with God has changed, that he has begun to internally change – and it is enough.”

Chapter 4, Page 36 –

Does the man on the pallet trust in what Jesus has just said? The scribes and the Pharisees who are present certainly don’t believe. Look in the man’s eyes and what do you see? There’s a shining light in his eyes which is his “peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1). The man knows that he is forgiven, that his relationship with God has changed, that he has begun to internally change – and it is enough. Like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego who were threatened with the fiery furnace, whether he is physically healed or not, is no longer the point. He is forgiven. He is in a Grace-Faith Relationship with God, and this is enough.

Is this enough for you? Are you prepared to give up on trying very hard? Are you ready to let the Holy Spirit work and will in your life?

Can you see yourself as the crippled man?

Do you know who you are?
